The Day He Was Gone Review By Amir Waseem

BOOK REVIEW
Description: “The Day He Was Gone” by Anjum Awasthi Malik is combo of Fiction, Thriller and Mystery, the book is a revetting encounter of love, fate, and hope against revenge, mystery and haunting pasts.

Overview /My Opinions : The story is narrated in two timelines present and past. Past events are narrated in the form of a diary. Somehow the narration in the diary relates to the story of the main characters which unfolds in the latter part of the story.
The moment you start falling in love with the character, there's a certain twist in the plot which makes you doubt about your choice but there comes another twist which again makes you fall in love. The book is like a quick bite since you can finish reading it on the go. The name chosen is perfect since it compels you to read it as soon as you lay your eyes on it. I personally felt the ending was satisfying. I would recommend it as a one-time read.

My Rating 3.6
